All-Salman Team

Fall 2005

Offense:

Offensive Line

We start the Offensive Team with the Offensive Line...because these guys are the ones that win championships for their teams and are the unsung hero's:

Yasser "Hulk" Cheema
(Only 1)

With a nickname like Hulk you know this guy is gonna be a beast on the O line. At 6'2" and weighing 250 lbs he moves well and keeps his side of the line secure.

Danie "Big SXY" Siddiqui
(Lights Out):

With a nickname like that you better know how to block if you playing on the O line and Big Sexy definitely shuts down his side of the line. At the sametime he pumps up his team to make the big play.

Quarterbacks

Hussain Syed
(Lights Out)

This guy took over the QB helm on Sunday for Lights Out and not only did he lead his team to the promised land, he also was picked as the Tournament MVP. Nightmare for defenses to stop because of his scrambling skills and has a strong arm as well.

Asad Khan
(Only 1)

This QB led his team to back to back Championship game appearances. His team fell a little short this tournament by getting 2nd place but he is definitely one of the main reasons for his teams success. He makes smart plays and has a rocket arm with very good accuracy.

Nick "Vick" Patel
(K7)

With a nickname of Vick you know this guy is definitely one of the best QB's in IPFF. His game resembles Michael Vick. He can scramble like Vick and has a cannon for an arm like Vick as well.

Center

(No Picture)

Rohit Singh
(Runnin Rebels)

When you can snap the ball in a tight spiral 15 yards back and hit the same spot consistently then hands down you are the best center. Also, doesnt hurt that this guy is fast and has good hands as well.

Wide Receivers

Mo Ghumman
(Only 1)

When you are 6'4" and 205 lbs and have played Football for a Div I school...you know you are going to be making this list Smile This guy is was a huge target all tournament long...unfortunately he pulled his Hammy in the championship game and his team really missed his play making ability down the stretch.

Saadi Patel
(Lights Out)

This guy is like a Santana Moss...he will catch small dump off passes and in a blink of an eye will be taking it to the house. He came through big time for Lights Out all tournament long.

Usman Jamil
(4U2NV)

Usman is like Randy Moss he is always saying just throw it up and I will come down with it. Came through with some huge plays for us all tourney long.

Nadeem Siddiqi
(K7)

On his team Roster his position is Slash. He showed why in this tourney...not only is a he great WR, he can also play QB when needed and pass the ball to Nick "Vick" Patel.

Defense:

Defensive Line

Arsh and Aafaq Manejwala
(Lights Out and Diplomats)

The Dynamic Duo Twin brothers tandem was split up for this tournament (I still don't understand that!?). But in any case both played very well for their respective teams by constantly causing havoc in the back field for their opponents!!

Tariq "Junglee" Mohiduddin
(4U2NV)

Junglee man was definitely a beast on the D-line for 4U2NV. Helping the team by being a constant pain in the BUTT for the opposing QB, all while playing on a twisted ankle and broken finger!!

Wahaj Haq
(Only 1)

Another top D-Lineman. This guy doesnt look like he would be that effective at D-Line when you first look at him. He looks like a WR. But looks are definitely deceiving in his case. He is a beast on the D-line and doesnt let up until the whistle is blown every play!!

Linebackers

Umair Zubair
(4U2NV)

Playing the MLB position for Umair was new for him this tournament but he played it really well...made a bunch of open field tackles for his team and was always hovering around where the ball was.

Adeel Siddiqui
(Lights Out)

He knows how to play the MLB, and lead his Defense on the field. Plays well and I still say he got lucky picking me off.

Cornerbacks

Khalil Rizwi
(4U2NV)

When you watch Khalil cover someone one name comes to mind and that is Deon Sanders. Khalil covered some of the best WR's all tourney long and had all these receiver on LOCK!!!

Siddique Ahmed
(Only 1)

Not only is Siddique a great WR's but in this tourney I was impressed more by his CB skills of locking opponent Receivers down. Definitely was crucial for his team by picking off a couple of QB's.

Ali Shah
(Lights Out)

Definitely knows how to play this position. Sources tell me he played CB back in High School for Paint Branch. His fundamentals playing this position show it. Very quick and has stickem for fingers because if you throw it around his area and he gets a hand on it 9 out of 10 he will be the one bringin the ball in.

Safety's

Raja Din
(4U2NV)

Ronnie Lott!!!!! That's all I have to say about Raja. He plays like my favorite player of all time Ronnie Lott. Even after pulling his Hamstring in the 1st round of the playoffs he gritted it out and played well for us in the semi-final game. Also doesn't hurt when you have played in college all 4 years while you attend Georgetown University.

Amit Gupta
(Heat)

This guy plays like Dawkins for Philly Eagles when playing Safety. Plays hard and goes after every ball thrown in his area HARD. Also has the mouth of T.O. Smile
