All-Salman 2nd Team

Fall 2006

Offense:

Offensive Line

We start the Offensive Team with the Offensive Line...because these guys are the ones that win championships for their teams and are the unsung hero's:

Yasser "Hulk" Cheema
(Only 1)

Yasser is a man among boys. Not only is he able to use his strength to hold off the pass rush but as he demonstrated he has the quickness to get down field and make plays as well.

Alex Kalayil
(Bonzai Bandits)

Domination. That's the word that describes Alex. He would physically dominate anyone that stood in front of him. I remember a play where he had his man locked for a good seven seconds and wouldn't let any defender near the QB. Incredible effort to give Tariq all day to throw the ball.

Stan Thomas
(Glory)

The othe anchor on Glory. He made sure that his man wouldn't even sniff the QB. Completely shielded the defender away and gave the QB all sorts of time to make plays.

Quarterback

Jinu Alex
(Glory)

Jinu was money all tournament long. He didn't make the big mistakes that many other QB's did and give his team a chance to win every time out. He commands the offense and runs it with precision.

Wide Receivers

Siddique Ahmed
(Only 1)

When the ball is in the air and Siddique is around DB's have no chance. Siddique continues to be one of the all time best in IPF on both sides of the ball. He is a reliable receiver especially in the clutch.

Amit Patel
(K7)

Made plays whenever the team needed them. Stepped up big for Nick Patel and he didn't disappoint as he consistently made plays to keep the drives alive and score points. Very under rated receiver on that squad.

Ali Shah
(Lights Out)

Ali made the most of his limited opportunity at WR. He is known as a shut down CB but is able to use his speed and athleticism to play WR and made some huge plays for the two time champions.

Defense:

Defensive Line

Aafaq Manejwala
(Diplomats)

The heart and soul of Diplomats. He wreaks havoc all over the field. Will not let a single QB or RB get out of his grasp. Very tough player and gives it 110% each play.

Farhaj Haq
(Only 1)

Farhaj is a beast on the DL. He never gives up on a play and goes hard until the whistle every time. He is also able to switch up and play MLB at a high level.

Linebacker

Nadeem Siddiqi
(K7)

Nadeem is Mr. Versatility; he can play any position on the field at the highest levels. His football IQ is second to none.

Cornerbacks

Hibbi Iqbal
(4U2NV)

Not only does the boy make plays with his arm, but he also locks the opposing receiver down. He knows how QBs think, so he's able to stay one step ahead of the competition. Great athleticism is what separates him from other corners.

Nabil
(Diplomats)

Loves to bait the QB and then jump the route. Made a great play against Lights Out and almost won the game for them by locking in on his receiver and not letting him breathe.

Siddique Ahmed
(Only 1)

Siddique has the size and speed to cover anyone on the field. He plays CB like he does WR always going after ball like a mad man.

Safety

Raja Din
(4U2NV)

Raja is all over the field. Playing in mainly a cover 3 defense he is able to hawk down deep passes that come anywhere near him.
