All-Salman 1st Team

Spring 2006

Offense:

Offensive Line

We start the Offensive Team with the Offensive Line...because these guys are the ones that win championships for their teams and are the unsung hero's:

Yasser "Hulk" Cheema
(Only 1)

Yasser came into the tourney slimmer and stronger. Defenders didn’t have shot at getting to the QB against Yasser. His improved quickness was evident against some of the speed rushers.

Danie "Big SXY" Siddiqui
(Lights Out):

Dani aka Big Sexy owns the line. We all know there is no going through him but what surprised most rushers is that Big Sexy is quick on his feet and can pick up a blitz like Orlando Pace. He is a big part why Hussain stayed clean for most of the tournament.

Quarterback

Hussain Syed
(Lights Out)

Another strong tournament for the previous MVP. Hussain is definitely Mr. Double Threat as he can beat you with his arm or legs with equal potency. He lead his team to their second straight championship by making plays when they were needed most.

Center

Rohit Singh
(Runnin Rebels)

Rohit is a speedy center with great hands. He had some big catches but what goes largely unnoticed is his ability to get the ball to the QB. His lightning quick snaps allow the QB to get the ball in play before the defense even knows the ball is in play.

Wide Receivers

Mo Ghumman
(Only 1)

Mohammad aka Mo is a playmaker. His size presents a challenge for any DB tasked with covering him. He showed better speed this tournament which was evident by his ability to consistently beat guys deep.

Zayd Patel
(Lights Out)

Mr. MVP had a huge TD in the championship game against a strong secondary. He is lightning quick and can beat you deep or by taking a short dump pass to the house.

Siddique Ahmed
(Only 1)

No one goes and gets the ball better than Siddique. As usual he made some unreal catches when it seemed like he was covered well. His combination of size, strength and speed make him tough to cover.

Defense:

Defensive Line

Wahaj Haq
(Only 1)

Top D-line in all of IPF. Guy has a non-stop motor and will keep going until the QB is his. I don't think I've seen any QB escape his wraith. Can beat you with his speed off the line or can power rush the smaller o-lineman. He let's the o-lineman pick their poison.

Robby "The Hammer" Abraham
(Glory)

Robby made teams pay if they didn't double team him. This guy was living in the backfield all tourney long. Teams had to adjust and put two people on him to give their QB a shot at getting the ball off. His lead on the field by example. A natural leader who has great heart and determination.

Linebacker

Usman "OZ" Baig
(Lights Out)

Most consistent LB in the tourney. He made plays in each and every game. He was either sacking the QB on blitz plays or dropping back in coverage and picking passes off. He did it all from the first game to the last. He had the offenses scratching their heads on how to stop this guy.

Cornerbacks

Iqbal Khan
(Only 1)

This guy completely shut his half of the field down. He forced QB's to throw the other way as he was all over his man all tourney long. He was a consistent play-maker and one of the main reason why Only 1's defense was top notch.

Ali Shah
(Lights Out)

Lock-Down. That should be his nickname as he put the clamps on opposing receivers and wouldn't let them breathe. He loves to bate the QB and break on passes. You'll be lucky if you're able to complete even one pass on this CB. He loves to test his skills by demanding to go up against the opposition's number 1 receiver. Plays fearless and goes all out each and every play.

Safety's

Raja Din
(4U2NV)

The Intimidator. If you played against him, then you know why that name fits him well. This guy makes receivers drop balls by his sheer presence alone. He played for Georgetown and you can tell. His awareness for the ball is remarkable. He knows where the QB will be throwing the ball and is always one step ahead of them. But his physical nature is what makes him such a force. He's not afraid to lock horns with anyone and he did just that the whole weekend.

Shahzad Ali
(Lights Out)

Shahzad will lock it up with anyone. He loves to get physical and will battle till the end with his man. If a ball is anywhere in his vicinity, he's more than likely to come down with it. He's the last line of defense for Lights Out and barely anyone gets by him.
